CIVIL SUPERVISOR

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Civil Supervisor to join our team for the prestigious Duqm High-Rise Building Project in the Sultanate of Oman.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily civil construction activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved schedules. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Civil Supervisor will coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure the successful execution of construction works.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all day-to-day civil construction activities on site.
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with quality standards and approved methodologies.
• Monitor labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance to maximise productivity.
• Identify construction issues and report them promptly while recommending practical solutions.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain accurate records of work progress and site activities.
• Review work completed before inspections and handover to consultants or clients.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on construction progress.
• Assist in resolving technical and operational challenges to maintain project timelines.

Required Skills

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, procedures, and site supervision.
• Excellent understanding of reinforced concrete structures, finishing works, and high-rise building construction.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of construction quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role on large-scale building projects.
• Proven experience in high-rise commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Previous experience working in Oman or the GCC region is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international construction standards and quality control procedures.
